Our Lady of Fatima

“Our Lady of Fatima” is a formal title accorded to the Blessed Mother by the Catholic Church based on a series of apparition witness by three children at Fatima, Portugal between May 13 and October 13, 1917, the culmination of which was the “Miracle of the Sun” witnessed by thousands of spectators on October 13, 1917.  This short course, in preparation for the hundred year anniversary of the event, will relate the story of Fatima focusing on the children, the devotional and historical aftermath in the decades that followed, and the “Third Secret of Fatima” which was made public by the Vatican in June of 2000.

St. Thomas on the Human Soul

In this class we will consider the nature of the human soul, its powers and operations, and how we can know that it is immortal.  We will also look at how the study of the soul is foundational to moral theology and Christology.

Day & Time: Mondays, Sept 11 ,18, 26 and Oct 2, 7:00-8:30 p.m.

Diocesan Women’s Bible Study

Spirituality of the Gospels: The four gospels of the New Testament provide a rich, multidimensional portrait of Jesus Christ.  Each also maps out a unique spiritual path into life with Him.  The modern quest for spiritual fulfillment is met with profound insights from the gospels and the enduring examples of saints both ancient and contemporary.
