Novena of Divine Mercy and Sunday of Divine Mercy
The novena begins today, Good Friday, and continues through this Saturday, April 22. It consists in praying for a special intention, given by Our Lord to St. Faustina, through the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. See this link for the prayers: https://www.ewtn.com/Devotionals/mercy/novena.htm
Join us for daily recitation of the novena prayers and chaplet:
Good Friday after the Stations of the Cross, starting at 3 pm.
Each day after in the Good Shepherd Chapel at 3 pm.
Divine Mercy Sunday, April 23, in the church with Benediction at 3 pm.
The Sunday of Divine Mercy is the Second Sunday of Easter, April 23.
We read in St. Faustina’s Diary, this promise from Our Lord: “The soul that will go to Confession and receive Holy Communion shall obtain complete forgiveness of sins and punishment.” And “On that day, all the divine floodgates through which graces flow are opened.”
On Divine Mercy Sunday, April 23, we will pray the chaplet in the church with Eucharistic Adoration and Benediction at 3 pm.
