Posted on March 18, 2019 in: General News

24 Hours for the Lord: 5:00pm Friday, March 29th – 5:00pm Saturday, March 30th, Church of
the Madalene
In union with Pope Francis, we again celebrate 24 Hours for the Lord this year before the 4th Sunday of
Lent with Eucharistic Adoration and Confessions for one full day. 24 Hours for the Lord will be held this
year at Church of the Madalene near 21st & Harvard from 5:00pm on Friday, March 29th until 5:00pm on
Saturday, March 30th. Priests from across the metro area will be available day and night so that all may
experience the mercy of the Father and fulfill their Easter duty.
Tenebrae Liturgy: Palm Sunday, April 14, 7:30 p.m., Holy Family Cathedral.
Tenebrae means ‘shadows’ and is celebrated as the light fades on Palm Sunday evening, and we begin
Holy Week preparing for the Triduum. If you long to make your Holy Week more prayerful and
your Easter richer, join Bishop Konderla and people from all over the diocese for this inspiring liturgy.
Chrism Mass: Tuesday, April 16, 5:30 p.m., Holy Family Cathedral.
Each year during Holy Week, Bishop Konderla celebrates a solemn Mass with all the Priests of the
Diocese where he consecrates and blesses the oils which are used in the Sacramental Rites. All are invited
to come and participate in the Mass of Diocesan unity.
