Jenks Community Food Bank

Posted on March 22, 2018 in: General News

With the possibility of a teacher walk-out beginning April 2nd resulting in school closures, some students in the Jenks School District will not have access to breakfast & lunch.  There are over 4000 students who normally receive free or reduced cost breakfast and/or lunch at school.

JPS teachers, staff members, and administrators are working closely with the Jenks Community Food Bank and local business partners to gather food donations to distribute to students at strategic locations around Jenks and South Tulsa.  Plans are to distribute food to these children on Mondays and Thursdays while school is closed at 18 strategic locations.

To donate food items to this program, you can bring them to the Jenks Community Food Bank at 324 West Aquarium Place in Jenks.  A donation box is also available on the west side of the building.  If it's a large amount, please contact me - V Mann, 918 344-6267.
