KAIROS                 Thanks to all who donated cookies, said prayers, and/or made placemats for the inmates participating in the Kairos four day retreat 4/20-23/17.  The volunteers supplied over 56,000 cookies with each of the 1,692 residents receiving a dozen.  The forty-two residents who attended the retreat enjoyed cookies all day long.  The placemats were a big hit.  The residents shared the messages with others at their tables and most took them back to their cells.                  The Kairos prison ministry team seeks prayers and “cookie” support once again.  Cookie donation boxes and paper prayer strips are in the Commons area.  As a sign of your prayer support, please sign your name on a strip of the paper and leave it in the basket on the table. Cookies must be “store bought” and sealed in their original packaging. Last fall, St. Bernard’s was most generous in supplying cookies.  Kairos Prison Ministry thanks you and asks for your generous support again.
