  Weekly Activities: *Friday’s in Lent —A simple Lenten meal will be  prepared and served at 6:00 p.m. in the Community Room each Friday. Afterwards, Stations of the Cross and Benediction will be held at 7:00 p.m. in the church.   LENTEN REGULATIONS Those between the ages of 18 and 59 are to fast on only one full meal and, if needed, two smaller meals not to equal the full meal; there is also to be no eating between meals. OPERATION RICE BOWL

OPERATION RICE BOWL: This Lenten project is a six-week family program which combines prayer, fasting, education and alms-giving. Materials will be distributed too the RE students for family participation. Other parishioners may obtain information in the commons. Collections will be taken up on Sundays during Lent. Empty your rice bowls and bring the money to Mass. The funds go to Catholic Relief Services and the next Habitat House.

Blood Drive

  Sign up for RED CROSS BLOOD DRIVE continues today. St. Bernard’s Blood Drive is Sunday, February 26th from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Please sign up in the back of church. Due to the number and severity of winter storms around the country, the Red Cross is in desperate need of blood. Blood donors receive a $5 gift card from the Red Cross and a free ticket to the next Knights of Columbus pancake breakfast.

~~CHOCOLATE LOVERS’ FESTIVAL  Next Sunday, February 12, we will have a giant chocolate bake sale after all of the morning Masses.  We are asking anyone who wants to bring cookies, cakes, candy, etc.  The confirmation candidates will man the bake sale with Erin Clifton.  This is a long-time tradition for the Religious Education program to raise money to get new televisions, DVDs, etc., and other things to make the RE program even better.
