St. Nicholas would be proud... One grandmother, who is caring for her 8 grandchildren, had a ticket to come to the sign up events, but due to a funeral of a loved one, was unable to attend. She thought that she wouldn't be able to receive toys for the children, and was so gracious when we told her that we would be able to provide the toys. St. Bernard PreSchool took the whole family and went above an beyond, providing wonderful toys for each of the children and even a gift card for Grandma. Beyond the blindness Ted Hinson, the author of “Beyond the Blindness,” will join the Clairvaux Club book review on Tuesday, February 6 at 7:00 pm in the Community Room. Mr. Hinson, a parishioner at Christ the King Church, writes an inspirational story of the faith and positive outlook that sustains him through adversity since losing his sight in 1986. Christmas Food Drive

CHRISTMAS FOOD DRIVE: Our Christmas Adopt-a-Family project is underway! We will be supplying food to Catholic Charities for distribution to the needy just  before Christmas. The cost of a holiday meal for the average family is $35 to $40, but any donation will be appreciated. Please make checks payable to St. Bernard’s Christmas Meal and mail them before December 13th to Deacon Sullivan at the parish, 4001 E. 10st St., 74137. You can also put your donation in an envelope marked to Deacon Sullivan’s attention in the collection basket at Mass.
