METHOD: A Service Request form is used to apply for assistance from Partners In Christ - refer to the Contact Us section below for details. Requests will be reviewed by an Oversight Committee for approval. Approved requests are assigned to a Committee for creation of an Action Plan that will address the need(s). Committee members are assigned to the tasks prescribed by the Action Plan based on their time, talent and treasure commitments. Any need(s) that exceed the time, talent and treasure of the committee members will be brought before the St. Bernard's congregation for further assistance. No budget - just faith!!
SERVICE EXAMPLES: PIC is open to short or longer term needs. Needs may come from any source such as a parishoner referring a neighbor in need of meals, transportation to doctor appointments, mow a lawn, etc., due to a recent surgery and he/she has no family/support system in place. Grocery shopping, school supplies, clothing - furnishing the basics while someone is experiencing a difficult time. Hurricane or other natural disaster victims (some of these referrals will be from Catholic Charities) as well as PIC picking up the ball of support for some victims that were helped initially by another group. This is an outreach to the community and those of any denomination.
