If you are interested in becoming a Partners In Christ Volunteer please review the following:
1. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - All PIC volunteers should complete the Partners In Christ training to familiarize themselves with the structure of the ministry, the process and forms used and the mission. In regard to forms, the Volunteer Sign-up and Inventory which communicates the intent to volunteer, contact information and degree of time, talent or treasure that a volunteer wants to commit to should be completed. This form is used to assign the volunteer to a group by the PIC Coordinator and for Group Leaders to determine who can help and how when reviewing a case that has been assigned to their group. In addition, the PIC Volunteer's Code of Conduct, which provides guidelines for all those that serve in this ministry must be read and signed.
2. CASES THAT INCLUDE MINOR CHILDREN - Adults and children volunteering to assist in cases that specifically involve minors (less than 18 years old) or those that are developmentally disabled, must complete the minimum PIC volunteer requirements listed above plus the following: VIRTUS training (2 hrs) and the necessary documentation to become a Covered Volunteer according to Diocesan policy. See the St. Bernard's Religious Education Director for details on becoming a covered volunteer so that you may help in this way.
The Volunteer Sign-up and Inventory form may be sent to St. Bernard's Church, 4001 E. 101st Street in Tulsa 74137 or fax it to Partners In Christ at St. Bernard's 918-299-7796. Likewise, the PIC Volunteer's Code of Conduct can be obtained from clicking on it, printing and signing it but returning via mail, drop-off at church or fax due to the need for a signature.
